Hi,
Have you nothing under "Displays" and "Hardware" icons?

Hi Dave,

When you say that you've updated Flowcode 8, do you mean that you downloaded the new installer for 8.2, or you've updated your data files using the "Check for Updates" feature in Flowcode itself?

If you've updated the executable, did you let Flowcode copy the new data files over when you first ran it?

If you've updated your data files, have you definitely done a "Full database" update? The component categories were moved around a couple of months ago. It's possible that you've only done a partial update and that's why they've disappeared.

In either case, please try the following steps.

1) Click "Help - > Check for Updates" in Flowcode.
2) Change "Files-in-use" to "Full database" in the bottom-left corner and then click "Yes".
3) After waiting for the update system to check the server (this might take a minute), click "Download" and wait for it to download everything.
4) When the download has finished, restart Flowcode.

Please let me know how you get on.

Daniel

Just done a component search and it's now under "Misc" (was under "Displays" yesterday). I don't have a "tab" for Misc but at least I can find it now.

What happened was this. I went to change the 4 x 16 LCD component in my flowchart for the 2 x 16
one. A box popped up saying updates were available for several components. Clicked update. Then said to restart Flowcode which I did and found the component was missing.

Re Daniels reply I clicked on Full Database and got a warning "this may take a long time-do you wish to continue". I think I'll leave it for now as I've found what I need.

Thanks for your help

Dave.

Hi Dave,

If you do the full update everything should appear back again.
this may take a long time-do you wish to continue
This is usually less than a minute
