Script Syntax Error. 16F1509 running 4 Chan PWM.
Got to a point programming this project where it refused to work. so, scrapped it and started again with the same result, then this popped up on the screen?
Any help gratefully received.

Hi Stylo,
That is not an error with your project :D so just click No to remove the popup.
The issue is caused due to problems with our server, which is currently undergoing updates and fixes.
Sorry for the confusion caused, hopefully all will be resolved soon.

Hi Leigh
Thanks for the prompt reply,
I will divert to some of the domestic chores waiting for my attention.
I presume you will let us know when the problem is fixed.

That "script error" occurs when Flowcode has a problem trying to contact our website (e.g. when checking for updates). It should not cause a problem with your project, so there must be something else wrong with it.

Hi Steve,

Can the check for updates be changed to be done once at program startup and not every time I save a flowchart?

Best regards,

Jac

Hi Jac,

I think the intention is to avoid a large volume of internet traffic where everything is checked, so Flowcode just checks for the currently used objects.
Normally, this shouldn't be a problem and it would be unobtrusive.

The recent problem with our website going down has highlighted that Flowcode throws that error each time it tries (and fails) to get information from the website. I think the real problem is that this error is being reported to the user. Instead, Flowcode should silently detect that the website is unavailable and, for example, show a local version of the welcome page or prevent checks for available updates.

At the same time, I will look into how we can improve how Flowcode communicates with the internet whilst still providing up-to-date information on updates, etc.

Regards,
Steve.
