How to change package types

Post by John_RSD »

I have added in a 16F887 and the graphic display in the chip window seems to only show the DIP version and not the QFP I would be using

Is this actually selectable ?

Code is running regardless

John
Many thanks

John

Unfortunately, only the DIP pinout is currently shown for that chip within Flowcode.

I believe the chip itself is identical whichever package you use, so the only issue will be Flowcode's chip device diagram will show as DIP not QFN. So you should not experience any issues other than the shape and location of the pins on that diagram.

Steve

I have seen no isues on the code and to be honest it was first time I very even thought to use it as a diagram for probing

Only then did I take any real notice of the window. I even jumped back to V6 to see if it was a setting that had been moved.

My sanity is now restored 8)
Many thanks

John
