Re: dsPic/pic24
Hello Wolfgang,
This is not 100% complete as we are currently testing and working on a few remaining minor details. The new version should be available for download sometime in January next year.

Re: dsPic/pic24
I read the elektor pdf, and correct me if i am wrong (and i like to be wrong) that the dsPic/pic24 is going to be new product, not update for flowcode for Picmicro... And the price is? Interest for those products is big, but i dont know about student budget....

Re: dsPic/pic24
Currently, there are 3 variants - PICmicro (8bit), AVR and ARM. The dsPIC/PIC24 will be a fourth variant and will be priced in line with the other versions. It will also be subject tot he same cross-grade offers (i.e. if you have bought the current Flowcode V4 for PICmicro, then you can buy an equivalent licence of Flowcode V4 for dsPIC/PIC24 for half the price).
This variant will also include new components for the RF and Infrared E-blocks.
We are also launching a new dsPIC/PIC24 E-block around the same time. More details will follow soon...

Re: dsPic/pic24
Yeah !
Very great news !
The new version had the same macro/component or permit to have access to more functionalities ( DMA, PPS, QEI, CAP touch, etc etc ) ?
I can help to make beta tests if you need. I have an LV 24-33 v6 Development System from MikroEleltronika.

Mathy

Re: dsPic/pic24
Hello,
Yes it uses a version of the Microchip C30 compiler. Very cool
No additional dsPIC related features at the moment but hopefully these will come with time and demand. What we do have is all normal components plus the 3 USB and newer components such as RF and RC5 IR.
That combined with chips that can pull off up to 40MIPs

Re: dsPic/pic24
Is there any plans to have Flowcode V4 handle analog input to the comparators as this a very powerful pic function.
C programming for me is a non-starter.

Re: dsPic/pic24
We're currently working on V5 of Flowcode and comparator support is something we will be adding to it. FC5 won't be released any time soon though - we have a lot of development to get through (but I'm so excited about the new features we are adding!).
Accessing the comparators via C code should be relatively easy. You could try asking on the forum to see if someone can help.

Thank you everyone for the info. That's encouraging.
I have Berts van Dam's flowcode book and will experiment with
the examples and looking forward to V5. Thanks again.
