Hi there,
I've been looking on this forum for Flowcode components that drive 8*8 dot led displays.
These displays are very very cheap and even the modules that have a MAX7219 driver IC on board are so cheap they are too good to be true.
The existing FC LED DOT components use two SN74LV374APW chips to drive 16 LED's? (I can't even find them in DIL)
The helpfile for the serial/parallel doesn't show how to connect these IC's to a 8*8 dot display.
For testing purposes it's often more fun to have a ready made hardware board to play with, than first solder a demo-board yourself.
Is there any chance that there could be a Flowcode component to achieve the same as the current serial/parallel component?
I would love a component that could scroll a text up/down and so on (just like the current component).
This component should drive a MAX7219 which is often used for this purpose.

Hi!
I created a demo program.
Character scroll is not included.

Thank you STibor!
I gave my display with a friend and as soon as he returns it I'm going to test your program!
I gave it because I need to read the datasheet thoroughly if I want to start playing with it.
Unfortunately my time is limited so it takes time.
You did a great job with the flowcode, it looks promising.
It is hard to read because there aren't much comments in the code.
I still hope that someone has time to create a component for this piece of hardware, that is the strength of Flowcode.

The program works! Thank you, I've learned from it.
If some could make a component for this one it would be great!
