supported diveces EB006

Post by Werner LJ »

Hi,
Is there a reason why program device EB006 supports far fewer devices than flow code? Will more devices be supported by program device EB006 in the near future?

The EB006 can only support devices where pins are at a defined position (power, OSC, reset and I/O ports). The software can support devices regardless where the pins are located on the physical package.

Hi Werner LJ

If you have a EB006 V9 programming Board

Then you can connect a pickit 3 via the adaptor lead that is available from microchip and program more devices via ICSP (after moving the links on the board)

I am not sure if the "GHOST" feature works on devices that are not on the device list - matrix will be able to confirm this.

I am using this method with no problems experienced to date

On the newer PIC devices the programming scheme changes completely. The EB006 firmware doesn't support the new programming scheme.

Yes Ghost will work fine. For ICD to work you need the programming jumper in the USB position.
