Multi programmer EB 006-00-7

Post by greenant »

I using Flowcode6 pro under windows10, Up to a week ago my programmer was working fine. Yesterday I tried to compile a program to a chip, but when the compiler reached file send I got the message device not recognised. Pressing reset doesnot help. In the hardware configuration on my PC the programmer is recognised. What can be the problem.

Hello,

Here are some questions on things to look out for.

Have you inserted the microcontroller correctly?
Is there only one Microcontroller inserted?
Have you tried a different microcontroller to ensure the inserted micro is not damaged?
Have you checked the jumper settings are correct?
How are you powering the board? USB or PSU?
Do you have anything external connected to the board, specifically PortB pins 6 and 7 or anything potentially power hungry?

Are you using a 12V power supply? This is required for the PIC device to enter programming mode.

The v7 board is now pretty old maybe one or more of the electrolytic caps have dried out and died?

I have also a connection problem with EB 006-00-7 using FC4 with also PPP v3.9. This problem reased when I renewed my PC with Windows 10x64.
Compiling to a PIC under my old Windows 7 x64 was never a problem. But installing the PPP driver "DPInstAmd64.exe" it failed under Windows 10.
Recently, I read that there is a new driver: "Matrix PPP v.3.11" and it was noted to use it under Windows 10.
But unfortunately, I could not downloading this driver, because the links point to something else.
I appreciate a solution very much for my EB-006 programmer board and perhaps other people have also more experiences with this latest driver?

Thank you very much.

Reinier

Enter "driver" in the "Search for resources" box on this page:

https://www.matrixtsl.com/resources/

One of the first results is "EB006 (v8 and older) / HP488 USB Driver", which should be the one you require.
