<sidebar>Sidebar: Flowcode Help Overview:Flowcharts</sidebar> Editing icon properties is very easy to do and allows you to create complex systems with simple and easy to use flowchart consisting of a range of icons.


To edit an icon's properties, either select the icon and the select the 'Properties' option from the 'Edit' menu (Edit > Properties) or simply double click on the icon in the flowchart. Icon properties can also be edited by right-clicking on the icon to display a context menu and then selecting 'Properties' from the menu.


All icons have a 'Display name:' property (apart from the 'Comment icon') which allows you to individually name each icon to organize and explain the flowchart.


You will need to change icon properties in order to create a functional flowchart to run a program in simulation or on hardware. Using different icons you can work with variables and components to create a dynamic and effective system with ease.

Additional functions

There are a range of extra functions which can be integrated into Icon Properties, for example, you can manipulate the Calculation Icon Properties to use Mathematical Functions to calculate and solve complex equations as well as using String Manipulation Functions to solve complicated algorithms and run them effectively in a flowchart.
