I have my first programme download to the flowcode robot.
Everything went good, but it didn't works. (i now, i have used de wrong gate)
After downloading is the problem, I can't make connection to the PC.
Also when it have pressed on SW1
But the led's RD7 and RD6 do not blink !
USB-led is on..
Voltages of the battery is 4,8V

Is it possible by use incorected gates, the robot to make broken?

Hello Flurk,

I don't know what you mean by "incorrect gates" - can you please explain more?

Hello Flurk,

When you plug in the USB cable, in the buggy and in the PC, and you switch on the Buggy, led 7 and 6 should start blinking. If this does not happen, you probably have a bad battery connection. How you can solve this is described nicely (with photographs) in the getting started guide on the matrix website.

hope this helps

Hello Barth,

The battery voltages are OK. (5V3)
I have also tested it with external suply, but the same problem.
At connection with USB-kabel are all led's off. The led's 6 and 7 do not blink. Nothing. At the download firsttime the led's 6 and 7 however OK. What can be that.

Thanks jou for response

Hello Flurk

If you switch on the Buggy, Plug it into the USB and then press the reset button on top of the Buggy do any of the LEDs at the front of the Buggy light up?

Also can you verify that the 5V you are testing from the batteries is coming though to the PCB. Eg are the VSS and VDD pins of the PIC chip powered.

Hello Benj,

Thanks you, you have helped me.
I have measured on the chassis and was there 5V3. (Therefore OK) but never thought of of measuring on the PIC.
You were right, there was none 5V on VCC and GRD.
I have everything to check of the batteries until the PIC.
And yes, the switch is broken. (+/- 5x uses)

Very thanks to let think me in that direction.

Regards

Dirk

Hello

Ok our switches are normally fairly reliable but occasionally they can be a little awkward. Try sliding the switch off and on with a solid but not forceful motion. Make sure you are moving the switch as far as it will go in either direction. This normally acts to sort out the switch and improve its reliability.
