Hi,
Dont know if this will help but I had problems getting the unit to work, the problem was that the board came with the jumper set to J4 (A), as soon as it was moved to J5 (B) the unit started working fine!
Regards,
Chris

Hello Wayne,

There are two ways of using the 4D displays.

1) Using the display component and directly drawing your own GUI.

2) Using the Visi component and relying on the VISI interface to draw the GUI and interact with the inbuilt switches / sliders etc.

There are a number of examples already on the v6 forums. What specifically would you like to see and maybe someone can create a nice article on how to do it.

Hi Wayne,

If you put the jumpers on J6 then this will patch the signals through to the J7 connector which is TX,RX and Reset, you should then be able to connect it to your preferred device and program with the Visi Component, if you want an example let me know.

Hi I can get display working with other basic examples but not using 4D systems but I cant get it working.
I got a programming USB lead for the 4D display but screen is not compatible with the visi development system and cant get anything to work.
Like I said the display is working.

Hi Wayne,

I have just been looking at the data sheet for the EB076 and it dosen't actually say which 4D display it is but it does say that it is Goldelox, if Benj or somebody from MM could tell you which model display it is, then you could open 4D workshop and see if the display is listed, if it is then you should be able to use it.

Hi Wayne
Just pulled out the datasheet for the EB076

The datasheet shows the board supports the following displays - page 3
UOLED-320x
uLCD-32PT-SGC
I think the board has the uLCD-32PT-SGC fitted (From memory it shows the display type when you power it up)

It has a Picaso processor, again shown on page 3 of the Matrix EB076 datasheet.
(Not sure where Stuart has seen it uses a Goldelox Processor :) )

Ive not tried programming it with the 4D workshop yet myself, but the pinouts (on the 5 pin programming header) are the same as the uLCD-32PTU which I also have and programs fine with the 4D programming lead.
1 in 10 people understand binary, the other one doesn't !

Hi John,

I took the information from the EB076 Datasheet as per pic, it says refer to the Goldelox command set which suggests that it is a Goldelox processor.
