18f4550 options

Hello,

I am trying to configure the settings of the 18f4550 and I notice that the configuration screen is a lot of different than a 16f877a screen.
Can you guide me through?

Also when I try to autodetect in the configuration screen, it does not detect the 18f4550 but it prompts to detect in the expert configuration screen.

Hello Andreas,

Most of the devices are not available via the simple configuration screen so its normally a good idea to get to grips with the expert configuration screen.

All of the configuration settings and values are detailed in the device datasheet so you can look here if there is anything you are unsure of.

For a standard 18f USB device I would normally use the config settings detailed in this document:
