EB076 help

Post by Chris_MIRA »

Hi,
Im trying to use the EB076 with a EB006 module FC5 (tried FC6 as well) but cant get the module to do anything, it just displays its manufactures message "4D Systems uLCD-32PT". Attached is the simple test code, what am I doing wrong?
Thanks
Chris

Hi Chris,

Please can you confirm the following for me,

1) Which chip are you using?
2) What frequency is the crystal?
3) What port have you connected the EB076 to?
4) What jumper settings are on the EB076?

My guess is that it's something simple that is causing the baud of the UART to be running at the wrong speed and the display is therefore not picking up the control signal.

Hi,
Informatio nas follows:

Chip is PIC 16F877A
20KHz crystal
EB076 connected to port C
EB076 jumper is on J4

I also think it must be something simple but still havent found anything, a EBM module works of port B on the sameboard and same settings without any problem (Im not trying to run them at the same time)
Regards,
Chris

Hi Chris,

Ok all sounds fine to me but the jumper setting should be changed to J5 (B) and also change the clock speed to 20000000 in the project options if it is not already set to this.
