Hello there,

I have just download Flowcode V4.
Now the program aks for a key.
I have a key but when i fill in than de program says the key is not valid.
Can you tell me what the problem is.
I use the license for Flowcode V3.

You must buy a Flowcode 4 licence ... 50% discont if you have a V3 license.

Hi Wolfgang,

Component connections are in the properties frame, just under "extended properties" and above "customize code".

It's probably best to buy the upgrade from Elektor (if you came direct to us, they would accuse us of stealing their customer and we don't want this - Elektor are a good dealer for us).

The virtual network works in the Demo?
What time elektor can provide the update my v3pro to v4 pro?

Click on the 3 dots next to "Connections".

Virtual Networks will be ready in 2 months, as will a full German version.

We don't have the CDs just yet - there was a printing issue that has held up our delivery. So I think Elektor can take orders but will not be able to ship a CD for a week or two.

With my own project , i have the same error.

In the compiler-setting-help all parameter for V3:

Compiler location
Sets the Compiler location.
Default:

Adds command line parameters when called from Flowcode

Hallo Steve
In the morning i install v4 on my virtual-PC running xp,compiling works ok.
I delete v4 on my pc,running Vista-bussines with all updates,turn off the UAC ,
install v4 as admin new,it come the compiling error again.

Hello Wolfgang

I think your compilation problem is due to the way Vista can disable 8.3 filename generation.

We have a FAQ that details a way of resolving the problem available from here.

Same problem of compiling in Vista SP2: no hex file and i have key for full version today.
In XP with SP3 no problem work ok !
Not solved with previous post.
What i can do?

I am running Vista 64 and Flowcode v4 is working 100% fine with the above mentioned fix.
We have also tested using Vista running in a VMware virtual environment and this has also been working well.

Yes i tried it and not work on Vista SP2 32;
not have error but no compile like previuos user says in this discussion....

Maybe problem that i have before V4 flowcode V3?

Have you done the 8.3 conversion for the Programs Files folder too?

Flowcode V4 works fine with V3 also installed. Also tested on Vista and no problems.

Sorry but I think the problem is PC related.

Please could you both try the following.

Start -> Run -> cmd

Then in the command prompt please type the following

Code: Select all

cd c:\
dir /x prog*

You should get the following: <DIR> PROGRA~1 Program Files
If you get this then please type

Code: Select all

cd prog*
dir /x matr*

You should get the following: <DIR> MATRIX~1 Matrix Multimedia
If you get this then please type

Code: Select all

cd matr*
dir /x flow*

You should get the following:

<DIR> FLOWCO~1 Flowcode V3
<DIR> FLOWCO~2 Flowcode V4

As long as the Flowcode V4 8.3 filename is present then your compilations should be working correctly.

If all the 8.3 filenames are present then there must be something else causing compilation to fail.

Please let me know how you get on.

I have do thes with fsutil vor V4.After thes only the error 1 goto error 0 after i use fsutil yesterday.
V3 works perfect without short name.

and Flowcode V3, installed before V4, work ok.

Other error when i try to update or online resource in menu of flowcode i receive

I have exactly same problem of V4 not compiling to hex.
I have checked and long file names is active for V4.
Operating system is windows vista home premium
I am trying to compile DC PWM 16F877A found in V4 examples.
For some reason, boost c complier is not activated.
Here is a screen shot.

Hello

Are any programs compiling or are they all failing to produce any hex files etc.

You could try moving your program to a directory just off the root to see if this helps the problem

Eg. C:\Progs\

If this doesnt help then another thing you could try is to install Flowcode into a folder off the root directory.

Eg C:\FC3 or c:\FC4

These tests will eliminate the path technicality which will hopefully help to get to the bottom of this problem.
