USB Link Failure

Post by AKPERRY »

From: Tony Perry

Hi Benj,
I am using the EB006 with the HP299. It works well. I do have one small problem. My PC indicates that it sometimes doesn't recognise the hardware, even half way through a simulation. Simply unplugging the USA & plugging it in again mostly fixes the problem. Have you seen this before. Its almost as if the link fails sometimes.

Regards

Hi Tony,

Yes I have come across this problem. It normally occurs when there is load on either the USB out connector or the ICD/Scope connectors which means for some reason the USB chip does not start up correctly and register itself on the PC. If your struggling to get it to work then unplugging all cables from the Flowkit and then replugging starting with the USB from the PC should allow it to work correctly every time.
