most of the smaller pics are listed , starting to get more complicated and time consuming as they are becoming more feature packed as i get down the list .
please be aware if this post regarding compilers

Re: Flowcode V6 PicPac List
Thanks Steve
That will be very useful to everyone.
One suggestion, some people may not be able to read the xlsx format, I tend to post in xls format where possible so it can be used by as many people as possible.

due to conditional formatting that is employed within chart cannot save as .xls file
if anyone requires a .xls please let me know
Steve
:Edit Whilst updating the list i have noticed that some of the ic's have minimum order quantities PLEASE CHECK BEFORE YOU ORDER
One RS part i just seen comes in full reels only (1200) Parts

Re: Flowcode V6 PicPac List
another update guy's
On this one i have added information from microchips data sheets and product info pages as i found quite a lot of micro's were listed as "Not Recommended For New Designs "
I have included the recommended alternatives in the chart. i know that a couple are dsPIC30's i just have merely copied the information over.
Row B This is an identifier for a macro on a "radio Button" to hide these micro's from the sheet at the moment the macro not working will sort this out

Re: Flowcode V6 PicPac List
Completed at last .The macro and button has been removed as i found that when the rows where hidden you couldn't hide columns too .
additional Interface Type column now has extra chip spec in there too I.E.
Hardware RTCC (this is a real time clock and calendar)
Devicenet support
auto baud rate detect
and also recomendations for chip use from microchip - data logging etc
I have spent a great deal of time to ensure that this document is correct. However, I realize that i may have missed a few things. If you find any information that is missing typo's or errors, please inform me. I appreciate your assistance in making this a better document.

Re: Flowcode V6 PicPac List
Wow! Very nice, you have obviously spent a lot of time on this and it is a great resource.
If your happy about it then I will tell the Microchip guys about it next time I speak to them as I'm sure they would be interested.

Hi,
I have a tip you may find useful:
If you select cell B3, then select View tab, Freeze panes: You can then compare different target devices and keep headings in view: Martin

Re: Flowcode V6 PicPac List
Hello,
Thanks for the guide!
One question though; Which PICs can operate with other 3.3v devices and communicate with UART Tx/Rx ->3.3v ? The ones that operate 2.0V - 5.5V or the 1.8v - 3.6V ?
Thank you ,
Best Regards,
Andreas Achilleos

Re: Flowcode V6 PicPac List
Hello Guys
Your pic list is great and I have been trying to use it to select a new part.
I am looking for a 8 bit part (as Im using FC5 pic pack) that can give me a 16bit (I may settle for 14bits) PWM output. The picpac list states a number of available options. The one that really stood out was the PIC18F65K22 as it suits the application almost perfectly.
However on closer inspection of the data sheet the 18F65K22 only outputs 10bit PWM, and I found the same with all the other parts labeled 10,16 bits. Am I missing a trick with this as there seems to many parts labeled like this. The ones labeled as 14bits apparently will only give 14bits at 2.44Khz which unfortunatly is not good enough for my application.
I understand my only other option would be to upgrade to V6 to profesional pack and use pic24, but this is expensive...
Thanks

Re: Flowcode V6 PicPac List
Hello sorry for any confusion please correct me if i am wrong.
I thought that Microchip PWM Module (CCP),(ECCP) Has an 8 bit mode and a 10 bit mode, also some chips have a 16 bit timer allowing for full 16-bit PWM.

Re: Flowcode V6 PicPac List
Hi Steve
It would make sense that if the part has a 16bit clock for the CCP and ECCP modules you could potentially get the 16bit PWM. However if you reed through the part data sheets you find this not to be the case. (unless we can somehow access this timer and maybe bit bang the PWM???)
I have attached a datasheet for a pic12 that boasts 16bit PWMs - first page (not compatible with flowcode), and the other that boasts 16bit timer for CCP/ECCP and only 10bit PWM - page 245.
Thanks

Re: Flowcode V6 PicPac List
a few users have reported that the PWM resolutions are incorrect .
Could you please check with the data sheet,
I realize that i may have missed a few things. If you find any information that is missing typo's or errors, please inform me. I appreciate your assistance in making this a better document.

Another little tweek
if you highlight cells E3 : AG362
from Data Tab click filter button
A drop down menu tab is placed in the right hand corner of the top cell then you can do a basic search by clicking on the arrow a drop down menu appears
