Make PIC work with 230 Volt

Post by MJU »

Is there a simple/secure way to make PIC's work with 230V 50Hz.
I would like make the PIC work with this voltage, and filter inputs out of this voltage without using a transformer.

The inputs should come from switches on this 230V also without using a transformer.
Then the output should be able to switch a inductive load...

Any ideas??

Hello

For inputs you will need something along the lines of Opto isolators capable of handling mains current.

For outputs you will need relays again capable of handling mains current.

I havn't really dabbled much with Mains power, Maybe some of our customers can provide better help.
