Re: Error 16F722
Hi Andreas.
I'm assuming you have EB006 programmer?
Have you tried using autodetect from the Chip configure menu? If it fails then I believe there is a problem with communication between USB and target device.
I can think of a few things that could cause that problem, although there maybe more
1)Device is different to the one selected within Flowcode.
2) problem with Communications from USB to RB6/RB7/VPP of target device. E.g Jumper on ICD2 instead of USB.
Pin stuck high/low. Something plugged in to portB affecting RB6/RB7.
3) ChecK PSU/USB Jumper is on PSU side
If you don't mind sharing your flowchart, I can check that side for you.

The autodetect funktion works only in Expert Modus. Then the pic is correct foundmedelec35 wrote: Have you tried using autodetect from the Chip configure menu? If it fails then I believe there is a problem with communication between USB and target device.

I have controlled the flowchard and the picmedelec35 wrote: 1)Device is different to the one selected within Flowcode.
My programmer works fine. All other pic are programmed perfect (16f877 or 1f88)medelec35 wrote: 2) problem with Communications from USB to RB6/RB7/VPP of target device. E.g Jumper on ICD2 instead of USB.

Re: Error 16F722
The only thing I can see as a minor issue with your configuration is you have osc set for 4MHz. If you have a 4MHz xtal instead of original 19.6MHz plugged in then that will be fine.
This will not cause the issue of unable to send to target device.
I just remembered about:
http://www.matrixmultimedia.com/mmforum ... f=2&t=7506
The two chips are from the same family. So your right about it being a bug.
This was posted about 10 months ago. I am starting to use 16F723 again so
I.m hoping a fix for this and 16F722 have been found.
Steve how far did you get?
Also I believe Dan was also working on some issues with this range of chips. Did you get past the programming stage please Dan?
Edit it is Dan, not Dan81... sorry for the mix up Dan81
Only just remembered it, my memorably is getting a lot worse lately...Its my age

Hello Martin,
The 4MHz is correct, it is an xtal.
Thank you very much for your help. I hope Steve has any Idea for the problem with this Pic.

Re: Error 16F722
Hello,
I have recently added a lot of newer chips into PPP most of which are working great. However the 16F727 family is an exception and at the moment simply refuses to work. This device is still on the list but may take some time to sort out.

Re: Error 16F722
Hello,
At the moment all chips work fine except 16F727 family ie 16F722 - 16F727 and the 18FxxK22 family.
If you are using a 5V compatible chip that is not currently supported via PPP then please let me know by replying to this topic and I will attach the update files.
Regarding your question the 16F886 should already be available in the version of PPP you are currently using.

Re: Error 16F722
Hi,
it seems I am running into the same problem programming a PIC 16F723A.
The autodetect works fine, put the programming fails with the error message
Programming failed: <config1> & <config2>
I have Flowcode v4.5.18.74 and the
EB-006-00-7 Multiprogrammer
PPP Version 3.11.15.30 Firmware Version 7
Other chips like the 16f73 program okay, so I know the programmer is working.
Thank you very much for your help!
