Aviation Excellence Starts on Your Desktop
Compact equipment for the study of complex computer based flight systems.

EFIS Overview
The Matrix Electronic Flight Information System features an EFIS with an LCD display, user controls, and sensors for compass and altitude, along with a Locktronics board for additional sensor simulation.
Connected via CAN bus, this system, paired with PC diagnostic software, helps students learn about complex flight systems, including fault finding with multimeters and oscilloscopes.

Test Chamber
The pressure tapped cylinder consists on 1 cylinder along the whole test section to mimic 2D analysis. The cylinder has one small pressure tapping which internally connects to a push fit pneumatic fitting for ease of use.
The cylinder can be manually rotated through 5 degree notches for incremental testing. The module allows students to explore pressure distribution, lift and drag coefficients, flow visualisation and vortex’s.

EFIS Solutions
There are over 14 experiments included with the wind tunnel.
Along with the following, students are able to 3D print endless variations by creating a shape and adding a simple M3 thread, which then attaches directly to the 2 force component unit for testing.
