Plug, Play, Program: Modular Microcontroller Learning
A flexible solution for study of microcontrollers designed for everyone.
EBlocks 3 Overview
EBlocks 3 is the latest generation of microcontroller boards from Matrix, featuring a range of upstream and downstream boards, alongside cost-saving bundles such as class sets that enable complete systems to be built quickly.
Built with industrial hardware, for hands-on education, EBlocks 3 easily teaches the principles of ESP, PIC and Arduino microcontroller environments.
Now featuring Auto ID when used in the Flowcode environment. Flowcode is automatically configured with the correct hardware: no confusion about wiring or settings.

Flowcode Integration
Paired and seamlessly integrated with Flowcode, Auto ID detects the board connected to the learning environment and customises settings, enabling quick and easy set up for learners.
In-Circuit-Debugging, allows users to set or clear breakpoints and debug systems whilst simulation is live, and in-circuit-test can be seen on the data recorder and oscilloscope windows in Flowcode.
The Oscilloscope is useful for recurring signals where you can set a repeating trigger and inspect a part of a waveform in isolation. The Data Recorder is useful for comparing multiple signals over time.
Teaches Principles of key microcontrollers
If you are looking for a way to teach students about the Arduino, PIC or ESP microcontroller environment, but you’re looking for a system that gives you curriculum, support, training opportunities and a software environment that engages its users, then EBlocks 3 is for you.
Integration with Flowcode is seamless and the ability to allow users to conduct simulation of designs as well as advanced test and debugging of their systems and many other benefits is very impressive.
Education
Although boasting industry standard features, EBlocks 3 is in fact designed primarily for learners and educators. Our kits, supplied alongside free curriculum are perfect for delivery of microcontroller system teaching across various platforms including those delivering PIC and Arduino system development.
The design and manufacture of our boards allows them to last longer in the demands of educational labs and are able to be stored safely and securely in classroom or lab environments.
Components
There are around 30 boards in the EBlocks 3 range which includes the most popular peripherals used in electronic design.
With availability to add Grove and MikroBUS interface boards this provides access to thousands of additional peripherals.
Ruggedness, for open labs, is provided using plastic base plates and covers for the main boards to ensure that your hardware lasts well in the lab.
EBlocks 3 Solutions
This latest generation of EBlocks hardware is designed to support the teaching and learning of Embedded systems development: from first principles through to the development of internet enabled systems.
Upstream boards all include a colour touch screen display, integrated Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and an SD memory card interface.
Input output lines on the 8 bit ports are presented on 14 pin connectors. This allows input output lines, power, ground reset, and the Auto ID bus to be wired up correctly when a downstream board is plugged in.
