A flexible solution for study of microcontrollers designed for everyone.
(ESP-Compatible Microcontroller Education)
This latest generation of EBlocks hardware is designed to support the
teaching and learning of Embedded systems development: from first
principles through to the development of internet enabled systems.
Upstream boards all include a colour touch screen display, integrated Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and an SD memory card interface (under the display).
Input output lines on the 8 bit ports are presented on 14 pin connectors. This allows input output lines, power, ground reset, and the auto ID bus to be wired up correctly when a downstream board is plugged in. The Auto ID lines ensure that, for Flowcode users, as soon as a downstream board or sensor is connected, Flowcode is automatically configured with the correct hardware: no confusion about wiring or settings. The kit is also compatible with the Arduino and Espressif IDE for those wanting to program in C.
There are around 30 boards in the EBlocks range which includes the most popular peripherals used in electronic design. Grove and MikroBUS interface boards provide access to thousands of additional peripherals. Ruggedness, for open labs, is provided using plastic base plates and covers for the main boards to ensure that your hardware lasts well in the lab.
Supported with an ESP32 microcontroller: fast growing in popularity thanks to its native Wi-Fi system, and its powerful 32 bit core. At the heart of an increasing number of third party devices such as displays and M5Stack Dial which offers huge capability.
