This light sensor gives a voltage output in proportion to the brightness of the light falling upon it. The analogue voltage output is suitable for the inputs of the MIAC controller used for the Automatics Control curriculum.
The sensor has been chosen to respond to the same wavelengths of light that are visible to the human eye, for results that correlate well with what students can see.
A built in bias resistor ensures that the sensor does not require any complex support circuitry – just power it from the same supply as the rest of your circuit.
